A very interesting study just came out by JAMA Neurology that I highly encourage you to read  The study, which you can read in its entirety here, specifically addressed the question: Does playing high school football have a statistically and clinically significant adverse association with cognitive impairment and depression at 65 years of age?   They concluded that there was no evidence to suggest that “playing football had a negative long-term association with cognitive functioning and mental health at 65 and 72 years of age.”
Upcoming Youth Camp – we will be hosting a youth camp for grades 2-8 on Mon 7/17 – Wed 7/19, 6pm-7:30pm $30.  Click here to register
August practice schedule – once summer camp ends, practice will resume on Monday, August 7th.  Starting that Monday, football commitment turns into 6 days/week (M-Sat).  We are currently working on scheduling times for August practices, and I will email out as soon as they are ready.  There is no practice the first week of August.
For those who made purchases during our online sale, the company has been shipping clothing w/in 3 weeks of the sale closing, so hope to have at LZHS sometimes this week.  Clothing will be given to the players once it arrives.

What a great way to show your LZHS Spirit and support your son with this sign in your yard displaying your son’s number!  Signs cost $30 each.

Don’t worry about your son’s number at this time.  We will hand out the number for you to stick on at the time we hand out the new signs. For those that just need new numbers, please email the name and new number to the contact person below.

Please make checks payable to LZ Quarterback Club.
